The VDS invites you to a Communication Workshop on Saturday 9 September 2017, at GarscubeView event
10 October 2017
Communicating as a Team is designed for all members of the practice team, including veterinary surgeons, managers, receptionists and nurses. It will highlight how effective communication improves:
• Practice efficiency
• Practice reputation
• Client understanding
and will certainly provide plenty of practical advice to take back to your practice. Communicating as a Team will tackle some of the common problems in practice, such as ineffective communication between practice and client, between practices, failures with record keeping, follow-up visits, telephone messages etc.
The day is based on VDS's extensive experience in dealing with complaints and claims from clients against member practices, 80% of which have an element of communication breakdown. The subject matter is strictly non-clinical and by:
• Observing scenarios enacted by professional role players
• Discussing the issues raised by the case scenarios delegates will be better able
to identify the situations that lead to grumbles, complaints and claims. Past experience has demonstrated that the practice which benefits most from these seminars are those which can send representatives from all sectors of the practice team and although the case scenarios have a small animal bias the content is relevant to all types of practice.
The training services provided by the Veterinary Defence Society Ltd’s Communications Training Department, as outlined in this document, are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority or by the Prudential Regulation Authority.
