VetLed and VetSafe announce even bigger Veterinary Patient Safety Summit for 2026
VetLed and VetSafe are delighted to announce that tickets are now on sale for this year’s Veterinary Patient Safety Summit, taking place on 16 October 2026 in Birmingham. The Veterinary Patient Safety Summit returns for 2026 with a powerful new theme: Patient Safety in Action: Being a Champion for Safe Patient Care. This year’s event focuses on practical tools, real-world strategies, and meaningful conversations to empower veterinary professionals to drive safer care in their own workplaces. Now in its sixth year, the summit has grown from a small gathering of 35 people at Marlow Rowing Club to a well-established event that sold out in just over three weeks last year. In response to this demand, the 2026 summit will take place at The Studio, Birmingham, which offers a larger venue and two dedicated learning spaces. The new format will allow delegates to join sessions tailored to their level of experience in Human Factors and patient safety - from complete newcomers to leaders and advanced practitioners seeking deeper insights. The day is designed to help delegates turn ideas into action, with a mix of shared sessions and focused streams: → What is means to be a champion - cross-sector insights → Stream sessions: The priority for veterinary patient safety → Brining your team with you - leadership and culture insights → Stream sessions: Effective safety strategies → Building momentum - fireside chat with special guests Attendees can expect a day designed to spark action: practical workshops, shared experiences, expert-led discussions, and the chance to connect with colleagues who are equally passionate about improving veterinary patient safety. Whether taking first steps or building on years of experience, the summit provides a unique opportunity for shared learning and collaboration to strengthen patient safety across the professions. The collaboration between VetLed and VetSafe continues to bring together a wealth of expertise, genuine passion, aligned values, and a shared commitment to supporting veterinary teams in delivering safer care. The 2026 summit will build on this foundation, offering delegates a space to learn from each other, challenge assumptions, and leave with practical tools they can use immediately.
